Members not showing?
TLDR;
An update was applied today to PluralSpace to address a bug that existed in the new UI. That update may have unintentionally hidden your members from others! All you have to do is go into your member and change the visibility level. :)
An update is being worked on for release tonight to allow bulk editing of member's visibility levels to make it easier to adjust.
Also, sorry for that not being a link in the banner, haven't had a need for one before... ne
What happened
In about mid May, an update went out to automatically set the visibility levels accordingly when importing (to the best of our ability, if we can't decode an ambiguous privacy setting, it defaults to owner only). Prior to that, if there was an import that happened and the visibility level couldn't be set, the row was left with a NULL value.
An update was applied per quite a few community requests, and some security chats with people to change the default for members who don't have a visibility level set to owner only, to prevent accidental leaking of members you don't want shared with others. There was 1 line of code missing in the new UI that allowed members without a visibility level set from the imports to be shown to friends and up.
What changed
Now, if the visibility has not been changed by the system owner, it is properly treated as owner only. This is to lean more into the security and privacy side, so new members are by default owner only, unless adjusted down.
Later tonight an update will be going out to add bulk editing to members, so you can bulk change the visibility level across the board without having to go into everyones profiles individually.
This update was made to make sure we continue the commitment to privacy and security, and I deeply apologize for not communicating this when the update went out. I do want to say, more tests have been added to make sure that this doesn't happen again, and I will be more prompt with conveying these types of updates in the future, including a post about it beforehand.
